Although the LG mobile phones division makes most of its money from feature-phones, the company is working to change that. After the LG Star and the LG Optimus 2X, here comes another Android smartphone: the LG B.
A set of pictures of the LG B has been leaked online, but shortly after that, LG posted a tweet which says that the LG B release date is CES 2011.
The LG Optimus 2X is going to be the smartphone of the start of the year as it features a dual-core Tegra 2 chipset, a 8MP camera capable of shooting full HD video, and 1080p output.

The LG B Android phone features a 4-inch IPS LCD touchscreen which is way brighter than Samsung Galaxy S’ Super AMOLED and iPhone 4′s Retina Display. The display of the LG B is based on the same technology as the display of the iPhone, but as you can see in the photo above, the Android device trashes iPhone’s so-called Retina Display.
Another advantage of the LG B over the iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S is the thickness. The iPhone 4 is 9.3mm thick and Apple says that it’s the thinnest smartphone in the world. Well, take a look at the picture below and see how think is the LG B. Pretty amazing, right?
