The BGR ninjas have leaked three new BlackBerrysmartphones and frankly, RIM is showing signs ofrecovery thanks to theCurve Apollo, Torch 2, andDakota. Well, the BlackBerryStorm 3 project has been revived and now theBlackBerry family ofsmartphones is reunited andcomplete.
The BlackBerry Storm 3 specs include a 1.2GHz CPU with OpenGL ES 2.0 support, 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen at 800 x 480 resolution, 5-megapixel camera on the back with 720p HD video recording, built-in 8GB memory, 512MB RAM, microSD card slot, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G mobile hotspot support, accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor, GPS, optical trackpad, BlackBerry 6.1 OS, and a 1,230mAh battery.
These specs would have been impressive if the smartphone would have been released in 2010, however, the BlackBerry Storm 3 release is supposed to be Q3 2011 and you already know the story about better processors, bigger and better touchscreen, more storage, bigger batteries, and better cameras.
The good thing is that the power of BlackBerry smartphones lies in the OS and these specs are great for a BlackBerry device. I’m sure that there are enough BlackBerry fans and that BB 6.1 OS will perform great with this hardware. Let’s just wait and see while looking at this low-res picture below.
