RIM is not out of the smartphone business and although it’s been a while since the company last released a competitive phone, we’ve seen some earlypromises like the BlackBerry Dakota and the BlackBerry Apollo. The third smartphone leaked by BGR is the BlackBerry Torch 2 which will finally become the smartphone of your dreams!
The BlackBerry Torch 2 specs include a 1.2GHz CPU with OpenGL ES support, 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 640 x 480 resolution, built-in 8GB memory, 512MB RAM, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Blueooth 2.1, GPS, NFC support, 14.4Mbps HSPA, accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor, BlackBerry 6.1 OS, and a 1,300mAh battery.
The BlackBerry Torch 2 design is similar with the one of the previous version, a sliding QWERTY smartphone, however, a silver matte finish has been added. It looks good and hopefully it will work better than the previous generation.
