CES 2011 was the perfect time to introduce new things, however, most companies talk about the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Sony Ericsson is going to unveil something there, and now Samsung said that the Galaxy S heir will be unveiled at MWC 2011. In addition to the Samsung Galaxy S2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will also be revealed.
The confirmed specs for the next-gen Galaxy S are dual-core CPU, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen. So the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be powered by a 1GHz Orion processor, 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and the aforementioned Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz UI.
On the other hand we would also love to see the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with a 7-inch or bigger Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, but maybe we’re just dreaming here. It’s going to be a very interesting Mobile World Congress in 2011 and I cannot wait for theBarcelona event to begin next month!
