2011 New BlackBerry Curve

RIM needs to refresh its BlackBerry lineup in order to get back a market sharelost to Android phones and the first phone is this BlackBerry Curve internally codenamed Apollo. Although there are no numbers in this phone’s name, we’re guessing that this might be the BlackBerry Curve 9350, though you can never be sure with RIM.
This next-gen BlackBerry Curve is powered by a Tavor MG1 processor clocked at 800MHz, BlackBerry 6.1 OS, 360 x 480 display, 5-megapixel camera on the back with flash, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 512MB ROM, 512MB RAM, 7.2Mbps HSPA, quadband EDGE, NFC support, GPS, and a 1,050mAh battery among others.
The BlackBerry Curve will become the most powerful BlackBerry smartphone of them all, surpassing the BlackBerry Torch which hasn’t been that popular among RIM fans.According to the source who leaked the photo below and the specs, this BB Curve is only 11mm thin and it will be mid-range priced.
The biggest problem with BlackBerry smartphones is the low-end hardware. RIM needs to introduce smartphones with faster CPU, more memory, bigger and better screens, and improved cameras. Let’s hope that this BlackBerry Curve is just the first step towards bringing better BBs to the market!
