Nokia Announces Classic 6124, A Vodafone Exclusive

Vodafone Announces the Second Google Android Phone from HTC

 Finally, we now have the official second Google Android phone - the HTC Magic smartphone which will be released exclusively for Vodafone customers in the UK, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy. Vodafone has started accepting pre-orders for the much awaited second model of the Google Android Phone while mobile phone users hope that the said device would have address upgrade issues of the first Google Android phone.


Nokia and Vodafone have teamed to bring the Nokia 6730 Classic phone to all Vodafone customers. The Nokia 6730 boasts of mobile internet feature, Vodafone music client as well as personal and business email access including mobile navigation functionality. The 6730 runs on S60 mobile software allowing content downloading from the web.

HP Intros the iPAQ Data Messenger

Recently, HP has announced its newest 3G smarthpone - the iPAQ Data Messenger. The iPAQ Data Messenger fully support 3G network connectivity and boasts of a large touch screen display, a full slide-out alphanumeric keyboard and GPS.This smartphone lets you communicate intelligently using email, phone and Internet. It’s got a Wi-Fi connectivity which lets you connect to the Internet for free in most countries. The phone’s full alpha-numeric slide-out keypad is a a breeze to use when typing and texting and you can view your work clearly with the phone’s large 2.8-inch diagonal QVGA display, which happens to support touch-screen functionality as well. In addition, the phone fully supports GPS functionality with its built-in GPS navigation tool. For mobile workers, the iPAQ Data Messenger runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and utilizes Microsoft Outlook Office Mobile for synchonizing contacts, appointments and tasks with your PC. Mobile workers can easily access and edit their documents using Mobile Word, Powerpoint and Excel applications. The iPAQ Data Messenger also features a 3.1 MP auto-focus camera with 5x digital zoom and flash LED and comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 8GB. Here’s a quick rundown of the other features of the iPAQ Data Messenger; Integrated WLAN 802.11b/g, with WPA2 security, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, 3G wireless broadband connectivity for voice and data, Tri-band UMTS (900/1900/2100 MHz), HSDPA Category 8 (up to 7.2Mbps downlink) and HSUPA Category 5 (up to 2Mbps uplink), Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), 128 MB SDRAM main memory for running applications, 256 MB flash ROM, and Full alphanumeric slide-out keyboard, 5-way optical navigation, 2 soft keys, ringer/sound switch, send/end buttons, keyguard button, volume control, camera button, 2 quick access keys. The HP iPAQ Data Messenger will be initially available through  Vodafone but HP resellers will offer them without contract at  around $677.

At the click of a button, Nokia 6124 users will have instant access to the Internet including full suite of communications, content, browsing and seamlessly integrated Vodafone services.Running on Symbian OS, the Nokia 6124 lets users download third-party applications and mobile contents from the web. The Nokia 6124 also allows users to do multitasking, that is, listen to music while browsing the web or answering a phone call.The Nokia 6124 is packed with powerful mobile features including superior data rates with 3G broadband that allows downloads of up to 10 times faster than 3G networks. Hence, Internet browsing when using the 6124 as a modem to connect laptops and notebooks becomes more exciting. Reading SMS, watching videos or viewing pictures is a breeze with the Nokia 6120’s large 2.0� display that displays outstanding brightness and clarity. Not to be outdone by most camera phones today, the Nokia 6124 is equipped with a 2.0 megapixel camera with a built-in flash and panorama mode. Data storage is not a problem as well with the Nokia 6124’s memory card slot which allows 8GB memory expansion. Nokia 6124 users will definitely have more rooms for storing their snapshots and downloaded MTVs.
The Nokia 6124 will be available at all Vodafone distributing outlets by the second quarter of 2008.

Vodafone Scores an Exclusive - Sony Ericsson V640i Music Phone

A Vodafone exclusive, the Sony Ericsson V640i was launched recently. Made with music lovers in mind, it has an innovative feature which allows users to record a 5 second sample and with the help of the TrackID music recognition software, be able to find out a song’s title and artist.
This 97-gram funky phone is also fully loaded with other features such as 3G Broadband (HSDPA) and prepacked with Google Maps and eBay clinets to all shopinggeras and bargain hunters, plus, a 2.0 megapixel camera. It is slated fro an Autumn 2007 release.
