MTNL introduces the first VDSL broadband Technology



MTNL has laid another milestone by introducing the first ever VDSL broadband services in India. The VDSL Technology will surely bring a revolution in the Telecom Industry.VDSL being abbreviated as Very High Data Rate Digital Subscriber Line which is the base concept of the VDSL Technology.

VDSL is the most promising Technology rendering full-service access. The Technology has been launched so as to facilitate the HDTV and triple pay services. MTNL has now become the first operator in India to launch the next level of phone-line broadband Technology offering data transfer speed ranging from 1-2 Mbps to 10-20 Mbps. The VDSL services can be availed with a monthly rental of Rs. 9,000 allowing the download of 18 GB of digital data for free.

MTNL's new VDSL Technology will render a bulk of channels of high definition (HD) on its IPTV services.The VDSL Technology will be restricted up to 1 km area of copper wire from the originating centre which is the MTNL telephone exchange.
