Gigabyte M1005 and Q2005 Notebooks Leaked

Despite lack of official announcement, Gigabyte is certain to release two simultaneous note book that are powered by Atom N550 processor. It will not take Gigabyte to provide the official announcement. The products have been quietly presented in Gigabyte’s website. The two atom netbooks are titled Gigabyte M1005 and Q2005 netbooks. In terms of look, they resemble Jolicloud Jolibook, which is also powered by ATOM N 550 PROCESSOR.

Both Gigabyte laptops come with mid-range specs even though no detailed specs are available right now. The reviewers mostly get the specs from the leaked pictures. Since they are not officially released, no pricing information and release date are on hand. The pricing information is expected to come during the CES 2011 event. Included into the list of the leaked specs are 10.1-LED backlight displays for both model. They run either Windows 7 Starter or Windows 7 Home Premium.

Both M1005 and Q2005 netbooks hosts up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 1.3 mega pixel camera in the M1005 model and 0.3 mega pixel on the Q2005 model. Each of the netbooks is equipped with 3 USB3.0 ports and -in-1 card reader that supports SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro. The M1005 model is also equipped with a vertical docking station that allows the users to convert it into a desktop PC. Despite their mid-range specs, both are configurable netbooks with a variety of hardware options.
